Julee Latimer is a UK-born artist based in Melbourne. She earned a BFA in Sculpture and Painting from Curtin University (Perth, 2019) and holds qualifications in Interior Design and Colour Therapeutics.
She has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally, with works included in permanent collections such as Hotel Capella (Sydney), Hotel Conrad Orchard (Singapore), and the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab (Chicago, USA).
Her work has also been recognized as a finalist in several prestigious Australian art prizes.
“I work where painting, sculpture, and textile collide. I use dried paint to create forms that claim space, resist containment, and move on their own terms. Repetition, rupture, and tension shape each piece, giving it autonomy and presence.
Through colour, texture, and form, my works carry traces of memory and narrative, daring viewers to encounter paint as a living, rebellious material”.
BA (Fine Arts), (Curtin University, Australia).
Higher International Diploma, Interior Design (UK).
Diploma Colour Therapeutics (UK).
Diploma Interior Design (Canada).
