Jesse Paul Miller

I am an intermedia artist based in Seattle since 1992. My work is invites exploration of different perceptions, memories of place, and spaces of imagination.

These explorations have included the use of sound as a material in artwork, and the distribution of sound as a medium for listening.

Since 2005 my work has been inspired by experiences during multiple travels throughout Asia.

During these journeys, I have gathered numerous audio recordings of location, daily life, and ceremony.

I also have made drawings, collage, books, paintings, photographs, and films during these times.

These have manifested in many ways, from audio releases, to performance, radio broadcasts, visual exhibits, installations, painting & mixed media, print editions, and various combinations thereof.

My visual and audio works have been exhibited and performed in museums, festivals and venues across Southeast Asia, Europe, the US,
