Tanom Kongchan was born in the northeastern region of Thailand. He studied art at various institutions and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University, in 1983. He was previously a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University, and other institutions.
He also creates sculptures. He enjoys watercolor painting, oil painting, and acrylic painting, among other techniques. He is a passionate explorer and discoverer. He teaches watercolor painting to interested individuals and regularly exhibits his work in art exhibitions both domestically and internationally, including in Thailand, China, Korea, and Japan. He also participates in workshops with various organizations and has served as a judge in numerous art competitions.
His work is captivated by the captivating beauty of nature. He is captivated by his creativity and diverse techniques, which allow him to express himself widely in art. This is the inspiration for his vibrant sculptures and paintings, and this is his creative path.
