Using rich, vibrant oil colour the Stroud Artist depicts landscape still life and portraiture with great intensity and often uses humour to spice up the moment.
Melvyn studied fine art in London and went on to win a David Murray landscape scholarship from the Royal Academy of Arts.
For many years he worked as a highly sought-after illustrator specialising in romantic book-covers, working with such authors as Catherine Cookson, Maeve Binchy and Edwina Currie.
