Moira Mcainsh

Moira McAinsh is a contemporary mixed media artist working primarily with collages. Her artworks are created from carefully selected fragments of recycled magazines and art books, combined with acrylic paint to build richly textured compositions.
Through a meticulous process of cutting, layering and assembling paper fragments, she transforms printed images into expressive portraits and vibrant animal subjects. Each artwork develops gradually as colors, textures and patterns interact to create an unique visual rhythm.
Her work explores themes of identity, nature and visual story telling, celebrating the transformation of everyday printed materials into contemporary art.
All artworks are original pieces, handmade in France.
