Victor Jorge, 23 of February 1971
Victor Jorge (Lisbon, 1971) completed his studies in film, moving image and sound while attending the advanced course in fine arts at , tutored by Manuel Castro Caldas. He also studied Art History and drawing at . Theatre at Gulbenkian/Orient Foundation and "the method studio" in London and dance at Rui Horta studio.
Subsequently completed a year of authoral "PROJECT" (Post.Grad) also with Manuel Castro Caldas as his tutor. Meanwhile attended the post-graduate complementary course in philosophy at Universidade Nova, Lisbon and he completed the course of initiation to preservation and restauration of film by Cinemateca Portuguesa/ANIM museum of moving images.
Has developed a wide range of projects exploring video, sound, video-performance, installation, fotografy film and writing his works have been exhibited in Portugal, Italy, Frande and USA . Victor is also a professor of practices of film and video and avant-garde film and video theories in (Education Gulbenkian Prize 2007 ) and to SÚBITA association of practices of creation and composition.
In 2005, his experimental film "hum..joe" was officially selected to the opening day for the Independent Film and Video Festival of Los Angel...

In 2016 he was invited to exhibit in ARCO Madrid in Lisbon, 104 Paris, France and by FUNDAÇÂO EDP ART/MAAT to "Second Nature" exhibition until 16th October 2016.
