Nigel Whittaker

Nigel deals with the compulsive themes of visual memory where he explores the discourse between photography, traditional painting and the cognizance of the body. Identity is explored along with the countenance of public versus private and the commercialization of the body, the works in their concurrence create a dialogue between digital culture and traditional painting. Perspicuous in the interrelationships between portrait, perception, social and cultural identity.
