Ada Kamińska is a Polish contemporary abstract painter based in Gdańsk. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, she received her MA in Painting in 2002 and subsequently pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Warsaw.
Working primarily with abstraction, Kamińska explores the relationships between colour, form, light and space. Her practice encompasses large-scale paintings, expressive gestures and restrained compositions, often drawing on the experience and memory of landscapes.
Her recent cycle, *Spaces / Non-Spaces* (2026), investigates space not as a specific location, but as a shifting and ambiguous experience shaped by perception. Through fields of colour, traces and fragmentary forms, her paintings evoke distance, movement and what lies beyond direct vision.
Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Poland and internationally. She lives and works in Gdańsk, where she also runs an independent painting studio.
