Aderemi Adegbite

Aderemi Adegbite is a artist-curator working across photography, installation, video, and social practice. He is the founder and artistic director of Vernacular Art-space Laboratory, an artist-led platform dedicated to experimental and community-based projects. He also founded the Tutùọlá Institute, an alternative cultural space for critical reflection and artistic production within a postcolonial context.

His work explores the tension between individual experience and collective memory, examining how personal histories - family, labour, travel, belief - shape present realities and inform speculative futures. Engaging themes of identity, perception, and social interdependence, Adegbite’s practice interrogates the idea of “one for all, all for one” as both a psychological condition and a social structure.
