Adriana Abi-Rizk

Adriana takes an experimental approach to the exploitation and anticipation of watercolour as a medium and its relationship to paper as an object. Adriana focuses on creating worlds that are a study on the immediacy of paint.

There is a strong focus on recapturing an affinity to the landscape through water and reflection, as well as through an amplified use of both luminosity and colour in her works. It is a study in how an experiment became a malleable process of mark making and in turn a form to document the fleeting and the transient in the immediate landscape.
