Adriane Massmann is a Brazilian abstract artist born in Vitória, Espírito Santo, shaped by two worlds that never separated: nature — a barefoot childhood among trees and birds on her family's farm — and art, inherited from her mother's family, founders of the Teatro Escola de Vitória, where the colorful stage sets of Sunday plays first sparked her lifelong fascination with color. As a teenager she lived for three years in Italy, immersed in the birthplace of the Renaissance. Back in Brazil, she graduated in Graphic Design from PUC-RJ and built a career in the ornamental stone industry, working daily with the veins, colors, and textures of granite and marble — a silent school of matter and form that now echoes in her canvases. Adriane paints intuitively, exploring the harmony of colors, transparency, and texture. In series such as Gaia, nature literally enters the canvas: real leaves are pressed and reinterpreted in layers of acrylic. Each work is one of a kind, created to breathe with the space that receives it.
BA in Graphic Design, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ), Brazil. Complementary artistic formation through three years living in Italy, immersed in Renaissance art, museums, opera, and ballet.
