Aga Mirko

Aga Mirko, born in 1988, is a graduate of interior architecture in Wrocław and a contemporary visual artist from Poland.

She paints to move something - in a space, in a person, in emotions. Her paintings capture an inner movement: sometimes chaotic, sometimes meditative, but always authentic.
In her work, she combines design experience with a personal narrative of what moves her. Mirko uses a disciplined understanding of space, form, and composition gained during her studies and work as an interior architect, while boldly breaking those rules. She plays with contrast, combining geometric elements with intuitive, organic marks and gestures, creating dynamic, multilayered images. Working on large formats lets her reach for an abstract representation of the relationship between humans, nature, and environment, weaving in elements evocative of human presence and experience.

Drawing inspiration from Eastern philosophy, Mirko explores well-being, relationships, and emotions in the contemporary world. Her art is a constantly evolving invitation to inner dialogue and reflection on what stirs us. She is inspired by life - not in its polished forms, but in its rawness, contradictions, and details: events, relationships, nature, and memory....

In 2016 Aga Mirko holds an MSc in Art, gaining the profession of an interior designer in Wroclaw, Poland. Before committing to her art full-time, she gained valuable experience working on interior and furniture design icluding surface design for products in the field of home accessories and textiles.
