I am a Minnesota-based artist working in a variety of media. I particularly focus on photography, painting, and mixed media collage. Much of my work draws on the natural landscapes of the midwestern United States. In particular, my art depicts the wide open skies and muted colors of the midwestern plains, and the lakes and forests of northern Minnesota and the Gunflint Trail, especially the region affected by the Ham Lake fire of 2007. My paintings and photographs are in many private collections throughout the United States and abroad. I accept commissions for projects that are consistent with my aesthetic approaches to art.
I live part time in Minneapolis and part time on the Gunflint Trail in far northern Minnesota, less than a mile from the Canadian border.
