Alain Rivier

After a long career in the American pharmaceutical industry as an IT Director, I decided to dedicate more time to my passion for art.
I have been painting for about a decade, always with the same intensity.

What sparked it? A Rothko exhibition in Paris, where I felt as though I were being literally "swallowed up" by his canvases. A little later, Jackson Pollock had the same effect on me—only even more powerfully: I was completely won over by the "dripping" technique.

My style has evolved, and today I embrace a personal approach that I call "Dripping & Lines."
I leave it to you to judge. My passion remains steadfast, and Jackson Pollock is never far from my work.

Abstract Expressionism is always with me—it calls me back to order whenever I try to stray too far.
