Gabriele Bosio

Gabriele Bosio is an abstract painter who signs his work Aldes. He works with pain as raw material and with its transformation into direction, painting the states that come before words: the loss of reference points, the reorientation, and the lightness that follows.

Self-taught, he came to painting through a personal difficulty and turned it into his own language. He pours fluid color and drips acrylics and enamels onto canvas, often on dark grounds, in large formats and circular surfaces. Sometimes a human figure appears as a gateway inside the abstraction. His work recalls abstract expressionism and gestural painting, turning a visceral gesture into a conscious result.

He divides his life between work, family and art, and paints in the late hours. His paintings carry one belief: rising again is not a matter of luck but of a decision that is renewed every day.

Self-taught. I came to painting on my own, without academic training, and developed my language through daily practice.
