ABOUT
EDUCATION

I view my practice as an ongoing process where I include a vast inventory of objects, images, stories and other inventions I revisit time and time again. I use layering, blurry images and a certain formal sensuousness to create an immersive experience offering access from different interaction levels for every individual. My artwork often includes pieces I collect from flea markets and family and community archives. Thus, individual and collective searches are an essential part of the process. I propose a strategy of hybridisation and disruption that invites questions about the limitations we face in everyday life. My work therefore explores the ways in which we are affected and transformed by external factors and impulses, and the interrelation between a personal conscience and the collective perception.
