Hello, my name is Alena. Let me say a few words about my passion - photography.

I remember when I was young, spending my summers in the countryside where my grandparents lived. Our house had many black and white photos, portraits on the wall, and albums. It was important to collect the images to tell our family's story and preserve it for other generations.

Photography became a main part of my life. That gives me the opportunity to create and express myself. It is my passion. The camera allows for capturing color, light, and objects, but the photographer decides what is important, and how to combine it to create something unique that is related to the moment or describes atmosphere and mood.

For me, the most important thing is the opportunity to explore different locations, nature, and be in different weather conditions. I enjoy shooting landscapes, fine art. I admire minimalism, monochrome, long exposure. My favorite time for shooting is in the early morning. The top locations are Norway, Iceland, France.

I studied the theory and practice of contemporary art at a humanitarian university.
I also graduated from photography school and participated in many master classes and workshops.
However, I think I gained skills by reading books and through self-education.
