Biography:
1971 Born in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Since 1994 living and working in Germany.

Artist Statement:
In my artistic practice, I act as an investigator of the hidden facets of human nature, the boundaries of vulnerability, and the mechanics of evil. I focus on the shadow side of existence and the "tragedy of human birth." Captured in moments of existential crisis, my characters carry the burden of absolute loneliness, fragility, and isolation.

My creative method merges realism, psychological thriller, and cinematic directing. Rejecting purely decorative elements that risk turning an artwork into a commercial design object, I pursue maximum laconicism. By stripping my works of any superficial embellishments and submerging the action into a dense black void, I focus entirely on the core conceptual statement. Framing my subjects as tightly as possible and utilizing a stark, contrasting light, I render the viewer an unwitting witness to profound human dramas.
