Alexandra is a British contemporary artist whose visual practice is closely intertwined with writing, theatre, and philosophical inquiry. She is currently working on a novel, The Woman with a Thousand Names Who Lives in a House with a Sea View, a long-form exploration of identity, memory, and the idea of home.

Trained originally as an actress and theatre practitioner, and with a formal background in theology, Alexandra approaches painting as both a dramaturgical and contemplative space. Her work engages with questions of presence, silence, and meaning beyond language.

She lives and works between the UK and Southern Europe, continuing to develop her practice across painting, writing, and theatre.

On the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, five cities worldwide hold a reading of three anti-war plays written in 2022. Professional actors and playwrights will meet in Tbilisi, London, Berlin, Belgrade and San Francisco to read three plays about the tragedy of war. They will document its horrors and consequences and talk about theatrical ways to counter the rhetoric of hostility and Russia's imperial ambitions.
