Alexandra Guzmán-Navia

My paintings have a dreamlike element, trying to capture and transmit the abstract landscapes of my mind. I use gold leaf, chemically-induced patinas, moldable materials, and other resources that, together with the magical power of light that moves through an imagined atmosphere of textures, have an inherent potential to create a kinetic illusion and invite the viewer to interact with them.
