Alex Nuñez is a Cuban American from Miami, Florida. She completed her BA at Loyola University of New Orleans in 2006. After graduating, she completed international immersive workshops at Firenze Arti Visive, Florence and Metafora, Barcelona. In 2009, she received a Post Baccalaureate Diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Her work began to take shape on a more massive scale, experimenting with installations and large-scale paintings. She recently completed her MFA at Hunter College in 2012 and received the C12 Emerging Artist Fellowship Award.
