Alfonse Pagano

Alfonse Pagano is a New York–based multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, photography, sculpture, and drawing. For decades his practice has explored the transformation of cultural symbols—flags, numbers, and language—through processes of layering, abrasion, and reconstruction. His work examines how meaning erodes and evolves through time, memory, and political change.
