Alfonsina Nespolo is an Italian-Argentine artist born in Buenos Aires in 1984.
Her work ranges from abstraction to expressionism, actively exploring organic forms. It stands out for its use of writing, which transforms from a linguistic sign into pure graphic expressiveness.
Hers is a graphic gesture understood as an expression of the imagination through free and deconstructed strokes. The artwork develops from the involuntary expression typical of handwriting.
Alfonsina tells a story not yet translated into words, deeply rooted in the unconscious. Her research finds deep inspiration in nature, understood as an ancestral and life-creating force, closely linking itself to an intimately feminine dimension.
A mother of four, her artwork embodies a poetics that celebrates female strength, motherhood, and childhood. Her art stands as a song to resilience and the beauty of women's experiences: a poetics of communication, word, and silence, mapping out a colorful memory.
She graduated with a degree in Visual Arts, specializing in Engraving and Printmaking, from the National University of Art in Buenos Aires in 2012. She currently lives and works in Civitanova Marche, Italy.
She has exhibited her work in international contexts, including Argentina, Spain, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom.
