Artist Statement – Alice Lipping
My paintings are intuitive explorations of color, texture, and movement inspired by the urban landscape of New York City. Through spontaneous mark-making and layered compositions, I seek a balance between chaos and calm—reflecting the rhythm and energy of city life. Each work is a conversation between material, memory, and emotion, evolving through process and discovery.

Artist Bio – Alice Lipping
Alice Lipping is a New York–based painter whose work explores the dynamic interplay of color, texture, and rhythm within abstract compositions. Drawing inspiration from the city’s urban landscape, she creates layered, expressive works that balance structure and spontaneity. Lipping has exhibited throughout New York and is an active member of the Long Island City arts community, where she also curates and organizes local art events.
