“I’d describe my work as something akin to a diary entry. Having thus far been fairly secretive with my portfolio, my personal works are often darkly symbolic, emotionally charged and expressive pieces. Depicting movements or colours found within dreams and flow states.”

I draw much of my inspiration from classic gothic literature and artists such as Francis Bacon, Maggi Hambling and Ralph Steadman, to name just a few. My raw and personal works tell a story and offer insight into my perception of the changing world within and around me. Questioning the nature of personality and the relationship between self-image, inhibition and growth, as well as the impact of existence in a world juxtaposed against expectation.

I’ve had the pleasure of completing several commissions and murals for private collectors and admirers of my work. I’ve been told my style is immediately recognisable and sought after for its distinct appeal. Distorted, bright painted figures and rough brush work, set against meticulous dark graphite and charcoal mark making, characterise my technique as I strive to create beautiful yet subtly grotesque characters.
