I am a fine art photographer based in Huntsville, Alabama. Through photography, my aim is to reflect the impression that the world outside of me has on me. In other words, I strive to reflect what I see and experience, the way I see and experience it, which is quite unique to me. This is very much akin to writing poetry or painting. I feel that the process of producing photographs is an artistic endeavor in so far as it involves an artist, a medium and a vision. Black and White is how I sense life. While I appreciate color photography, a monochrome representation is core to my artistic senses, my spirit and my vision. I work with both film and digital, but strive to keep things very simple. One camera and one lens, film or digital, and that's it. I tend to work within the construct of projects. The inspiration for a project can come from any numbers of sources. This approach holds for all of my work from people and places to animals. As much as I love a single highly expressive photograph, the idea of a set or series whereby the whole is greater than the sum of its parts is even more appealing and can be quite elusive.
