Al Serino

Al Serino is a famous New York city-based Plein-air impressionist, and his work has been influenced by the use of Chinese landscape painting, surrealism, and North American folk art.

Al Serino has been painting since the 90s. His paintings of landscapes, still life and portraiture have been presented to a number of exhibitions in some of the most prestigious galleries across America and Canada.

Serino studied at the Massachusetts College of Art, where he received his BFA in painting. For over 12 years, he had been working as an art director and as an instructor at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.

Painter Al Serino has an art studio in Brooklyn where he conducts workshops and classes.

Al Serino's work is an inner journey through mythologies and symbolisms. The collective unconscious and his personal intuition are for much. He strives to keep a track that surely is ephemeral, it will change over time. Color and texture are important to him because it's a way of communicating with the soul; opening up another path which bridges between matter and spirit-the mystical part we all seek within ourselves!
