Alter Ego Davide Pisapia

My name is Davide Pisapia, I was born in Naples on the 23rd of June 1988 and I realize sculptures and tridimensional paintings, as self-taught, mostly in iron, to share and give a coming out to the unconditional and unstoppable realizing shapes’ call.
My path in the art world has begun in an unusual way because my job position comes from the industrial branch. I was 20 years old when I have been thrown in the business background, where seemed that the requested rationality had taken me way far from the chance to know that side of my personality full of trend and fantasy. Though sometimes life is full of surprises and offers us also opportunities in the most unexpected moments. So, in the middle of the economical crisis, to escape a bit from the daily life, I had been realizing small iron works which had been starting to increase a strong interest for me. Thanks to the flair and the manual skills which belong to me, I discovered step by step the art and design world, which day by day, have always more fascinated me. Everything comes from a need in life and mine has always been to feel happy and in peace with myself, neatly. To find the right mirror where look at himself, that border line which gives us satisfactions. It is not always easy to find ourselves, for somebody sometimes it is impossible for personal inability, or due to external obstacles of economical, political or social nature.
Personally I could and would follow my instinct, well knowing that there was a way out which would have lead me to what Ken Robinson calls “The Element”. In fact the writer says that:
“There is a place where the things you love to do and the things that you are good at come together. That place of the soul is called The Element. The Element is the meeting point between the natural attitudes and the personal passions. When the people are in their Element they are connected with something fundamental for their identity, for their life purpose and their well-being. To be in their own Element reveal them who they truly are and what they really have to do of their life.”
Therefore the key is to have everything already clear in mind not being conscious of doing the right or wrong thing, the important is to try out ourselves and put us to the risk.
