Artist Statement (version):

My name is Álvaro Fillol. I work as a photographer and oil painter, driven by instinct, emotion, and a constant search for atmosphere and meaning in visual storytelling. Photography has been my language for over seven years, shaping the way I observe light, form, and fleeting moments. Painting, although more intuitive and personal, has become a natural extension of that vision—an instinctive way of translating what cannot always be captured through the lens.

I have lived in Italy for three years, a place that has deeply influenced my sensitivity to light, texture, and composition. Currently, I work as the official photographer for Aston Martin and McLaren Chile, where precision, speed, and aesthetics converge in my daily practice.

My work exists between documentation and emotion—between reality and interpretation—always searching for something that feels timeless.
