In today’s creative world, countless hours are spent in front of a screen; editing our photos in Photoshop rather than in the dark room, and creating our logos in Illustrator instead of picking up a pen and paper. To escape from the digitally obsessed world, I take some time to slow down and express myself through fine art.
It’s during this time that I am free to play with any subject matter I can dream up, and create it with any tangible medium that I can get my hands on. My first pieces were all simple drawings of horses, but later on, I started to bring texture out of photographs I took. Most recently, I have been creating abstract paintings using layers of lace, spray paint, paper and various other mediums.
My paintings are colorful and full of texture. I like to think of the canvas as a 3-Dimensional space where I can make my abstract visions grow. It's my way to relax and think freely. At the end of a long day, there's nothing I enjoy more than playing my favorite music on vinyl, and working on my latest piece.
