Amanda Tye is an Australian landscape painter and resides on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in sculpture, and Bachelor of Art Education at COFA UNSW in 2002.
Tye is well known for her signature style capturing the landscape by sectioning the view into sections, switching between flat geometric plans and a spatial landscape. Driven by the dissatisfaction of today’s extremely busy and fast pace life, Tye seeks out places resembling untouched paradises, playing with perspective and colour to offer a still and simplified perspective of the landscape. Amanda’s aim is to share her newly found contentment and sense of freedom with her audience, after leaving her corporate career three years ago to paint full time.
