Amy Vans

Based in Bristol, UK Amy Vans creates vibrant abstract paintings in acrylic and mixed media. Her work is intuitive and expressive, evolving into themed collections while maintaining a distinctive style.

Growing up in an artistic household, Amy developed a deep connection to creativity. A passion for abstraction and palette knife techniques emerged in Barcelona and later flourished in Bristol, where she turned professional in 2014 after a sell-out solo show.

Spontaneity is central to her process, with multiple works developing at once. Rich textures, layered colour, and bold contrasts define her pieces, while recent works explore a more contemplative side. Inspired by travel—especially the vibrancy of Barcelona and India—her paintings often evoke elements of water, nature, open skies and city lights.

Amy has exhibited widely, with works held in private collections across the UK, Europe, Dubai, Australia and the USA.
