Ana Íñigo Olea is a writer and visual artist based in Spain. Her debut hybrid memoir, Twelve O'Clock-Tales and After-Hours Thoughts, weaves vignettes, original illustrations, and cocktail recipes from bartenders around the world into a single literary object — a chronicle of transformation using the rituals of the bar as a way to restore the mind.
Her drawings are inseparable from her writing. The same personal iconography runs through both: organic forms that protect and embrace, small hearts scattered across cracked earth, the sensual residue of after-hours life.
In 2013, she created R.I.P. Diva, an animated video marking the symbolic end of her life in the spotlight — a farewell that took a decade to unfold. That journey led her to work in the Traumatic Brain Injury department at Sunnaas Hospital, where she discovered that whether mixing a martini or studying the human brain, the aim is the same: to find balance between the wild and the disciplined.
This work is for anyone who has learned to live their light differently — not extinguished, but reshaped.
