Anastasia Gauss

Anastasia Gauss is a Germany-based artist and the founder of the creative studio DAS Atelier. She creates one-of-a-kind wearable artworks from hand-painted silk and linen, bringing together fine art, artistic textiles, and contemporary design. Every piece is entirely hand-painted and exists as a single original.
Born in Siberia, Anastasia's artistic vision is deeply rooted in her family's history. Her great-grandfather was a merchant who practiced the art of jewelry making and transported fabrics and gold from China along the Silk Road. In 1929, the family was dispossessed during the Soviet collectivization campaign, bringing this legacy to an abrupt end. Generations later, that connection to textiles, craftsmanship, and handmade creation has found a new expression through her art.
Today, working with silk, linen, and natural materials, Anastasia creates more than wearable artworks. Each piece preserves a connection to her family's heritage, uniting traditional craftsmanship, the symbolism of nature, and a contemporary artistic vision into unique works that exist in a single original.

Completed a one-year online Fashion Design program, earning a certificate upon graduation. Continues to develop her artistic practice through independent study, specializing in hand-painted silk and linen, textile art, and one-of-a-kind wearable artworks.
