Anastasia uses a unique technique—a collage of paint strokes.

"I need a fresh perspective on materials to convey the depth of emotions and make the image three-dimensional. I have discovered a formula that evokes a sense of aging and lived experience. My paintings are a collage of acrylic with folds. I create a painting in several stages; this is my own technique that fully reflects my ideas. A person goes through life and bears marks, both physical and mental—a person ages and changes. Everything around us lives and undergoes transformation. We cherish the marks on things—a beloved object bears traces—yet we do not accept changes within ourselves. No one can go through life without accumulating experience.

Volume, folds, marks, dents, fragility—these are the elements present in my paintings. It’s all about a person living their life.

There is nothing more natural than living life and changing."
