RECOGNITION
Anastasiia Aguf (b. 1980) is a Russian-born artist working across painting, graphics, and sculpture. She graduated from the Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry in 2005, specializing in decorative and applied arts (ceramics).
Aguf is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia (since 2011) and the Moscow Union of Artists (since 2019). Her work has been presented in numerous exhibitions and projects, including the “Young Artists of Russia” exhibitions, where she was awarded as a laureate, and the “Bestiary” exhibitions at the State Darwin Museum.
Her works are held in private international collections, as well as in the collection of the State Darwin Museum.
Currently based in Israel, Aguf develops a painterly language rooted in color, texture, and decorative structure. She works with oil painting, oil pastel, dry pastel, and mixed media, building surfaces through layered, tactile marks where color becomes both form and emotional content.
Her compositions often emerge from natural motifs.
