Andrea Beckers

Andrea Beckers is a young photographer who shares a passion for portrait photography.
She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design at Maastricht. Beside being an art teacher she also is a Dutch photographer specialized in portrait photography.
Her interest primarily lies in creating portraits. These portraits she then adjusts with the use of mixed media. Her inspiration comes from the youth and the way they think, the are always conscious of their appearance, constantly asking themselves "how do others perceive me?" The thoughts that can follow on these questions can be hypnotising, people will start to believe fully and act to them, so that their own personalities will start to fade. People will slowly become stuck in this personality. In Beckers' work you will see the constant movement, succession and change of these thoughts.

Andrea has exhibited in the Netherlands and her work is featured in the German art book 'Internationale Kunst Heute'.
