Andson Clerio

Andson Clério is a Brazilian sculptor based in Camanducaia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. His practice investigates the structural principles of living systems, with particular attention to organic growth, branching, repetition, and interconnection. Working primarily with brass, copper, and steel wire, he translates patterns of organization found in nature into sculptural forms.

Shaped and interwoven by hand, his sculptures are constructed without welding or soldering. The wire itself becomes both material and structure, allowing lines to connect, branch, and form complex configurations through their relationships. Rather than reproducing natural forms literally, Clério explores the underlying logic through which living systems develop, organize, and maintain balance.

Self-taught, Clério has developed his sculptural practice since 2012 through sustained studio work and independent research. His work draws on fractal structures, tree and root architectures, and the organizational principles of biological systems. His sculptures are held in private collections in Brazil and internationally.
