Anna Eleneva

At the invitation of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, I relocated to Montenegro to dedicate myself fully to writing icons. I soon found myself rooted in this mountainous land not only by spiritual calling, but by its breathtaking beauty, serene light, and profound sense of stillness, which continue to shape my work every day.

My icons are now housed in holy sites across the Orthodox world, including the Convent of the Ascension in Jerusalem, monasteries in Syria and Lebanon, the Russian Podvorye in New York, and several monasteries throughout Montenegro. Many also reside in private collections internationally.

Alongside my studio practice, I regularly exhibit in cities across Montenegro and teach art and icon painting, sharing both the technical mastery and spiritual depth of this ancient art with students and fellow seekers.
