I paint semi abstract landscapes on canvas and wood. I use mixed media, plaster, oil sticks and charcoal to create Australian landscapes. The work is very textural, lots of lines and markings, and many layers. There is a lot of history to each work. I like to be able to walk into my paintings, discovering the many places, the shadows of the land.

Most of my work is done on a wooden support, with a plaster base. The landscape is carved back into the base, I use some of my pottery tools. The landscape emerges after many layers have been created using oil sticks, charcoal and cold wax.The work is finished with a Matisse Satin Varnish.

I have a "˜lifelong' interest in ceramics, exploring raku, sawdust and saggar firing. The work is both wheel thrown and hand built using earthenware clays.

My work has sold throughout Australia and Overseas
