Anna Kranj completed a classical art school and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. She acquired her ceramic skills on the island of Sviyazhsk, where she worked as an apprentice in a workshop. There, she learned traditional techniques such as wood-firing, Raku, and Obvara from the ground up. Subsequently, she taught children and adults in a ceramic studio. After gathering profound expertise and extensive practical experience, she shifted her focus from traditional functional ceramics and souvenir production toward fine art ceramics. Since 2024, she has been concentrating on the series of works titled "Anatomy of the Inner World," in which she examines the shaping of the human psyche through fears, blockages, and inner resistance. She developed her signature style through experiments with molten glass and chemical reactions on the clay surface. Currently, she lives and works in Berlin, where she also teaches ceramics to children and adults.
