Anna Maslennikov

I was born in 1989 in Moscow, USSR. Since 2022, I moved from my hometown. I began working with ceramics in 2020, continued my practice-based training through 2024, and, from 2024 to 2026, have been advancing my ceramic practice under the mentorship of Inna Rusadze.

I have participated in various group exhibitions. Recently, I was the member of the Artist Residency Program at Summer Academy, Salzburg (2026).

Working with ceramics and porcelain as mediums of fragility, memory, and transformation, I engage subjects that are often spoken about in whispers or avoided altogether: the female body, childbirth, IVF (*in vitro fertilization), infertility, and the difficult process of accepting one’s own body and vulnerability. My practice is structured as a method of translation between three dimensions: the material, the digital, and the urban. Through the careful reworking of everyday, disposable vernacular forms in porcelain and ceramics, I suspend their ordinary utility and reframes them as carriers of dependence, care, and trace.
