Ann Schaffer

For many years I have painted in watercolor, loving the fluidity and translucency of this medium. A couple of years ago, seeking a change, I began my journey in soft pastels. I reveled in the rich colors, the ability to layer and blend. Pastels allowed me to paint strong value changes and multiple texturing. I painted from photographs of journeys I took around the world over the course of many years. The journeys of my life.
