Anouk Ganzevoort, alias Anük is a Belgian artist whose sculptural practice explores the expressive power of the human body, movement, and inner emotional landscapes. After a former career in the performing arts, her work developed as a profound reorientation toward visual form, where silence, gesture, and material presence now carry what the voice once expressed.
Her sculptures inhabit a space between fragility and strength, stillness and motion, vulnerability and resistance. Often inspired by dance, theatre, music, and bodily expression, her work gives form to invisible inner states through dynamic silhouettes and tactile surfaces. She works with a wide range of materials, including clay, porcelain, metal, bronze, copper, wood, paper, resin, and found objects, allowing each material to contribute its own physical and symbolic resonance.
In her practice, sculpture is not simply an object, but a presence in space — a concentrated moment of tension, emotion, and transformation. Her work invites the viewer to encounter the human condition through form, and to sense what lies beneath appearance: intensity, memory, and the silent movement of the soul.
