Anthony Hopewell

Anthony Hopewell has been a working artist, photographer and filmmaker for almost 50 years! He graduated with First Class Honours in 1973 and subsequently was awarded an MA (with distinction) in Photography.
His career has encompassed Higher Education, top-flight international advertising photography and personal artistic practice, with work being shown and collected internationally, and his experimental films being featured in international film festivals.
Since 2006, Anthony has lived in Cornwall, a region in the far south west of the UK, where he has lectured in photography and filmmaking at a university. This has also provided Anthony with the opportunity to develop and progress his personal practice, centred on the landscape and the act of walking through it, a practice which has recently expanded to include painting and drawing This has resulted in the production of the work seen here, which, for the first time, is available for purchase.

Work has been shown in numerous group and individual shows, both in the UK and internationally.
Experimental films have been shown in several international Film Festivals.
