Antonio Johnson

Johnson's remarkable 2020 monograph, You Next: Reflections in Black Barbershops explores the critical role of barbershops in cultivating Black male identity and wellness. It was praised as a "must-have keepsake" by legendary street photographer Jamel Shabazz and conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas described it as "a snapshot of one of the Black community's oldest institutions."
