Anush Iazulian

Anush Iazulian is a contemporary Armenian artist whose work explores the inner world of human experience — emotional tension, vulnerability, memory, relationships, and our connection with the world around us.

Her artistic practice is centered on psychological states and experiences that are often difficult to express through words. She is interested in what exists beneath the visible surface: feelings, memories, fears, desires, uncertainty, and the subtle tension between the inner and outer worlds.

Working primarily with oil, Iazulian combines traditional artistic techniques with an expressive approach to colour, light, texture, and form. Her work moves between figurative and symbolic imagery, allowing each piece to convey an atmosphere, emotion, or state of mind rather than simply depict a subject.

A recurring theme in her work is the experience of pressure — both internal and external — and the ways in which we respond to it. Through expressive brushwork, layered surfaces, and carefully constructed compositions, she creates spaces where personal experiences can become universal.

Iazulian graduated from the Armenian State Pedagogical University in 2013 and continued her artistic education at the Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia...
