April Moffatt

April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the emotions of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.

April taught all the humanities with an emphasis on Ancient History and Literature for many years before embarking on a painting career. Mostly self-taught in the world of art, her classical education does weave it's way into her viewpoint however. April also uses painting to connect deeply with God and the spiritual world all around us.
