Robert Arato

Born 1959 in Spissk Nov Ves, Slovakia. Family immigrated to Germany in 1968. Drawing and painting continuously since very early childhood.
On the side: 1984 - 97 various fine art and commercial art related projects, such as architectural and environmental design, illustrations and scale models for museums, aircraft design, stage sets and film scripts; 1987 - 94 owned a company to restore historic monuments. Lives and works as an independent artist on the island of Ibiza since 1996.

"Painting embodies for me the best possible way to feel free. It feels free of personal states of longing or intentions, except to dedicate fully to the act of painting. I very much enjoy to observe how the brush condenses the immanent vibrations of energy into shapes and illusions".
