Aria De Zabal

I am Aria De Zabal, a self-taught Spanish artist born in Spain.

Drawing has always been my way of exploring the world and my inner self. Since I was a child, I have been drawn to portraying people and creating stories through images inspired by life and emotions.

I work primarily with natural charcoal embracing their wild and unpredictable nature. My drawings are slow and intentional. I simply love creating. Every piece grows slowly, shaped by presence, care, and honest emotion.

Through figurative portraiture, I seek to capture the beauty of the human form while evoking something intangible: an invitation to pause, reflect, and connect with one's own essence.

Through my art, I try to express what can’t always be seen. It’s meant for those who feel deeply and find strength in calm reflection.

I currently create original works and commissions, and I also teach drawing workshops in Spain.

I am a self-taught artist. My artistic education comes from years of dedicated personal practice, observation, and emotional exploration through drawing.
